Self-Care Sunday: Essential Oils

This week, I want to highlight the use of essential oils in our self-care routine!

I’ve recently gotten into utilizing essential oils as a part of my self-care routine and it’s truly been an awesome experience.

Essential oils are used in some of the most natural ways to combat stress, manage pain, and improve your overall wellness. The most common uses for essential oils are for aromatherapy, massages, diffusing, or even in a soothing bath. Personally, I’ve used lavender and peppermint to help with headaches and stress, and it has helped tremendously with decreasing the intensity!

Essential oils have so many benefits for our minds and bodies that we can utilize even on a daily basis within minutes, and we don’t even have to leave the house! Some of the top essential oils that people use are as follows:

  • Lavender
  • Peppermint
  • Ylang ylang
  • Bergamot
  • Rosemary
  • Frankincense
  • Eucalyptus

These are just a few oils that I’ve either tried or are on my wish list to try in the near future.

This week, research an essential oil to try based on a need you have and see if you get any benefits from them. You might find that essential oils are the key to an overall positive state of being for you!
