#ConfessionsOfALocdGoddess: Happy 2 Year Locversary

Recently, I celebrated 2 years of embracing this loc journey.  I’ve had a wonderful journey with my hair and I wouldn’t change it for the world! I’ve seen my hair grow and become stronger and healthier. In the past year, I’ve colored, had a few styles and adapted a pretty steady routine. Some of the key things I do:

  1. Don’t wash my hair as often as I used to.
  2. I oil my scalp regularly and massage my scalp
  3. I don’t pull my edges very often (if at all)
  4. I deep condition.

Here is a recent pic of my locs (and also my goofy face LOL)!

If I had to choose, I would say that I like when my hair is not manicured, to a degree.  I mostly like to keep my front locs looking semi-manicured (meaning it doesn’t have to look like a fresh retwist), and sometimes not even retwist the rest of my locs.  I have grown more accustomed to letting them hang free as opposed to rocking many styles ( I can say that I have had one professionally done, and a few I have done on my own).  I feel like my locs are as carefree and unique as I am, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Happy  2 years to me, and here’s to many,  many more!
