Ever want something that you know you couldn’t have, or that was completely out of reach?
How do you get over not getting what you want out of life? Do you take a risk and go for it, or do you understand that sometimes, you just have to play the hand that you are dealt….

I’m wrestling with this now on several fronts. It’s a daily struggle, especially when what you desire is in tune with what you’ve worked for, or what you think you “deserve.” I’m definitely an advocate for the pragmatic risk taker, but I’m also a serial planner. Constantly planning how I’m going to get from point A to point B is really how I cope. For me, the key is ensuring that I don’t get bitter or resentful of the people who do seem to be getting these things. Planning helps with that too, because it means I still have some type of hope for myself.
